Teaching

Conducting the percussion ensemble at the San Francisco School of the Arts (SOTA). My own arrangement of Soldier’s March, Little Piece and The Wild Horseman from Schumann’s Album for the Young.

My beginning mallet ensemble group from the San Francisco School of the Arts (SOTA). Here I'm conducting them in Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. Arranged for marimba and vibraphone, four players.

Not yet three, my young student enjoys a bit of improvising at the timpani while I play along on drum set!

Seasons of Oling is part of a multi movement fantasy series by author Ursula Le Guin and composer Elinor Armer. The full work is titled Uses of Music in Uttermost Parts and is recorded on Koch International. "Uses" explores a fantastic island archipelago where music forms the very fabric of life.
